A national survey shows that the average American teenager has his or her first drink at 14.  13-year olds polled said,  "Hah!  Amateurs!"

When the teenagers were asked if they thought five drinks a day were too many, they responded, "Wha?....Noooo.......bleaaaaahhhhh!". 


After midnight tomorrow night, we'll witness the first effects of a government shutdown.  C-SPAN will begin showing infomercials.




President Obama phoned Moammar Gadhafi today.  He asked the Libyan leader to share his secret for keeping a government up and running in the face of adversity.

The GOP are looking at a one week extension to avoid an immediate government shutdown.  Apparently, John Boehner hasn't received his tax refund yet.


House Speaker John Boehner has been asked to deliver the commencement speech at Ohio State.  OSU had asked several others first, but they were all serving five-speech suspensions. 


Elton John has announced that his baby's godmother is Lady Gaga.  Actually, it was his son's choice.  Elton asked the kid ,"Who do you want for a godmother?" and he said, "Ga ga."




The rumor mill reports that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have adopted another child, this one from Tunisia.  The Pitts have now officially invaded more countries than the United States.
