According to the New York Times,  Los Angeles is trying to shed its reputation for homelessness.  I guess the city of LA doesn't want to be lumped in with the nation's mortgage lenders.

Up in San Francisco, they have that new "No Sit-No Lie" law.  It's against the law now to sit or lie down on a public sidewalk or street.  A group of Buddhist monks protested the law but they had to stand up while setting themselves on fire.

On Wednesday, President Obama will meet with 20 CEOs to discuss job creation.  The first job they'll discuss is the one Obama will need created for himself after 2012.

Artist Nassos Daphnis is dead at 96.  Mr. Daphnis was known for painting with brilliant colors in precise geometric forms.  The official cause of death was Alzheimers, but sources say that Mr. Daphnis may have been shot by his lover's jealous boyfriend after getting caught up in a love triangle, or more precisely, an isosceles love triangle.

John Boehner appeared on CBS' 60 Minutes last night.  Unfortunately CBS kept losing its signal during the interview due to the static electricity created by Lesley Stahl's hair.

All that snow in Minneapolis caused the roof of the Metrodome to collapse.  Well, they say it was the snow.  I think it was God's way of saying, "I've had about enough of Brett Favre!" 


17 inches of snow fell in Minneapolis over the weekend.  Nobody's seen that much snow since Charlie Sheen's last party.




The New England Patriots whipped the Chicago Bears yesterday at Soldier Field during a raging blizzard.  Actually, it turns out that wasn't snow.  Rod Blagojevich was at the game and the high wind gusts were blowing the dandruff out of his hair.
