One of the big ongoing stories in the news revolves around the Sahalis, that couple that crashed the White House dinner last week. You'll remember that the state dinner honored the prime minister of India and the menu was vegetarian. Well, now the Secret Service says that at no time was the president in danger at the dinner. No, but the prime minister was. Turns out Mrs. Sahali was concealing a baloney sandwich in her handbag.
The Sahalis were at the dinner long enough to pose for a picture with Joe Biden. Biden says he visited with the couple, didn't know them but was assuming they were supposed to be there. Just goes to show you: Joe Biden will open his mouth for anybody.
You see, this is the ironic thing about America. This virtually unknown couple, the Sahalis, crash the White House dinner and have their picture taken with the vice-president. The picture is all over the news and now people are saying, "Who's the old guy with the Sahalis?"
Country music's Brooks & Dunn are planning their farewell tour. They're calling it the Last Rodeo. Allen Iverson and Brett Favre both called and said "just in case, you might call it the Second to the Last Rodeo".
We'll wait and see if Brooks & Dunn really do split up. They're calling their farewell tour the Last Rodeo and we know about rodeos....a lot of bull.
Comcast, the number one cable provider, is taking over NBC Universal. Comcast is already planning a major change. They're replacing the NBC peacock with Larry the Cable Guy.
